Guitarist/singer/songwriter Daniel Pellegrini’s hard rock project, Pellegrini, explodes from the gate with its first self-titled release, Pellegrini. The 4-song EP features original hard rock songs heavily influenced by the dominant rock sounds of the 80s, and is at once a surprising dose of nostalgia and modern interpretation delivered by a young, long-haired force of nature.
Pellegrini is evidence that rock ‘n’ roll—as it was known before “alternative”—in all of its in-your-face, lock-up-your-daughters, brash and danger-soaked glory, really is here to stay. It has, in fact, taken up residence on the couch and demands attention by reminding you that this stuff is nothing if not FUN. Pellegrini is a headbanger’s ball for the new millennium. Turn it up.
